A new product launch event was held at the Grand Ballroom, DoubleTree by Hilton Bintaro Jaya, on Thursday, February 27, 2025. A total of 24 new large-format porcelain tile collections under RomanGranit Xtra were introduced exclusively to young professionals in the architecture, interior design, and construction industries.
The product launch was packaged as a seminar titled XTRA Young Professional Architects, a collaborative event between Roman and Archinesia with the theme “Celebration of Young Professional Architects.”
The seminar featured seven principals from six architecture firms: Aswin Griksa (PT. Griksa Cipta), Agatha Carolina & Chrisye Octaviani (Bitte Design Studio), Jessica Sandrina (DCM Jakarta), Riri Yakub (Atelier Riri), Thoat Fauzi (JOSO Architects), and Yanuar PF (Aaksen Responsible Aarchitecture). Moderators for the event were Imelda Akmal from Archinesia and Ren Katili from Studio ArsitektropiS.
The 24 new RomanGranit Xtra collections come in large formats of 80×80 cm and 120×60 cm. These new series showcase a variety of natural stone designs, including marble, onyx, and travertine motifs. Roman also introduced terrazzo motifs, a popular choice in contemporary design.
Jimin Suman, General Manager of PT Satya Langgeng Sentosa (Roman), stated that current trends in porcelain tiles are leaning towards increasingly larger sizes. Beyond dimensions, flooring products must also offer added value in terms of aesthetics and luxury. The launch of RomanGranit Xtra, with the tagline “Xtra Size, Xtra Value,” provides the right solution to meet this demand.
“As a pioneer in the premium porcelain tile industry, RomanGranit Xtra continues to innovate by offering large-format collections that not only deliver stunning visuals but also incorporate advanced surface finishing technology,” said Jimin.
The latest innovations from RomanGranit Xtra feature various special effects on tile surfaces. The dEterno collection in gray stone tones, dLuni in white marble tones, and dSabine in travertine tones are introduced with a baby skin with special relief surface. These 80×80 cm porcelain tiles offer a unique relief texture as smooth as baby skin. Meanwhile, the terrazzo-patterned dCelestia (80×80 cm) stands out with a glossy effect with special relief.
Among the many new patterns introduced, three marble-patterned bookmatch collections stole the spotlight: dCandora, dFlamora, and dVelora. All three are available in 120×60 cm formats with marble veining arranged like an open book, creating a luxurious and visually striking appearance. The dLunense collection (120×60 cm) showcases endmatch marble patterns with harmoniously aligned veining for a continuous and natural impression.
“The launch of RomanGranit Xtra collections demonstrates Roman’s commitment to supporting the creativity of young professionals in the fields of architecture, interior design, and construction. We believe these collections will be the ideal choice for adding beauty and luxury to building projects,” Jimin added.
In addition to RomanGranit Xtra, Roman also unveiled nine new RomanGranit Grande collections featuring various marble motifs in 100×100 cm sizes. RomanGranit Grande introduces a new special effect technology known as diamond effect, which can be found in the dScapolite and dDiamante collections. This technology creates glitter effects that follow the marble patterns and sparkle like diamonds. Together, the new Xtra and Grande collections enhance Roman’s large-format porcelain tile product line.
